Design A Colorful Web Tempate: Create a business web template

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a nice looking layout for a business. If you have the website then you can start to be your own boss. You can use this layout also for : financial consulting, investment, business blogs, communications businesses, mortgages, service companies, professional services, technology businesses, shipping, insurance agencies, accounting, business publishing, etc.

Register for a VIP account and download ALL resources including this PSD layout. You will have also 12 Months free updates.

Create a new document with the following size: 1000 x 1100 pixels.
I will create the new document with a white color.
With Rounded Rectangle Tool I will create 6 dark shapes. I will place the shapes like in the following image. Please click on the following image to see better the result.

For all these shapes I will add the same layer styles.

I will create another shape with Rounded Rectangle Tool. This shape will be used as an active button. As you can see from the next image I have place the button on the top navigation bar.

I will select Pen Tool and I will make sure I have the button layer selected. If you have the layer selected hold down CTRL key on your keyboard , and press two times on the shape, until
you see the anchor points.

Hold down CTRL key and select the anchor point from the previous image, and then press one time the right arrow on your keyboard while you hold down the SHIFT key. the button will look like this.

Now hold down the ALT key, point the mouse pointer to the same anchor point from my previous image, and click two times. Your button will look like this one

For this button I will add a new layer style

This is my result so far

With Pen Tool I will create a small triangle and I will place it like in the following image

With the same technique I will create a similar button on the other bar from the bottom

I will add some text with Horizontal Type Tool

Now I will continue to work on the bottom of the layout. On the left side I will create a nice area with tabs.
One more time I will use Rounded Rectangle Tool to create a round shape. I will make the top part of the shape with square corners, and I will use the same layer styles I have used at the beginning of the tutorial.

I will create another shapes, and I will make sure I will place the buttons under my previous shape. As you can see I have used the same layer styles I have used several times in this tutorial.
